Drink too much ? Drop some acid.
That's right, Tripping your way to sobriety. "Acid" as a cure for alcoholism.

By the way, who invented Viagra? I would like to curse them, if only for all the junk email. How about a pill to cure spam? I hope the French, Canadians, and Swiss are working on that one. I might still get spam, but maybe I just won't care as much. |

I think this is fantastic news!
This article only serves to confirm what many of us already knew, namely that many of the illegal drugs have beneficial applications. Personally, I've always resented the hell out of someone, anyone, telling me what I can or can't do. You all understand what I'm saying, right? If I want to drop acid, smoke grass, or shoot heroin into my veins, what the bloody hell business is it of yours or the government's? And I'm talking strictly personal use here, so please, lets not have any comments along the lines of "but what about the children?" When you cut thru all the crap and get right down to it, the main objections to people pretty much doing whatever they want (provided nobody else is harmed or their rights infringed upon) are 1. We can't have people engaging in anything that smacks of original thought (in other words, we can't have people thinking TOO damn much about how inept and incompetent the establishment is at running things)...and 2. If we can't figure out a way to tax it, lets make it illegal.
Say what you will about the Europeans, but theres just no denying the fact that they're always a step ahead of us when it comes to "better living thru chemistry". They're always "setting the pace". Case in point, ABSINTHE! Last edited by Al Swearengen; 10-16-2006 at 07:50 PM. |

What I find ironic is that liberals (stereotyped as pot smoking and sexually experimental) are largely associated with the democratic party (for more government) while conservatives (alchohol drinkers and prudes) are largely thought of as republicans (for less government)?? At least in theory...LOL Seems to me like it would be the other way around. Perhaps this is why I like William Buckley. Actually both parties seem to be bent on larger government with no signs of shrinkage (ala Reagan) |

Skull and Bones
President Bush 1 & 2, Bill Clinton, John Kerry and Jimmy Cater all members
of Skull and Bones. My point is there a two party system or are they all just members of the same game (George Orwell) society ? Think back to the port security deal and all the above where on the same page but the American public did not buy into the deal and they dropped it. Get this President Reagan was the only president that was not a member and it almost got him killed. H. Bush was a eleventh hour vice president pick and yes he was and still is a member of Skull and Bones. Isaac |

Skull & Bones
Neither Bill Clinton nor Jimmy Carter went to Yale (Carter went to GA Tech and the Naval Academy, Clinton went to Georgetown and Oxford) so they weren't in Skull & Bones.

Got me on that one
I did watch a show on the History Channel that linked them all together
thru something called ? The Bilburgers (spelling ?) This was a extension of the Skull and Bones Society and also had links to the Free Masons. I found the show very interesting. Maybe it was they where all Bilburgers. My mistake. You are a very well informed joepole ! There where alot of very famous poloticains at this secrect meeting they have each year and security was tight and no cameras at all. Just makes me wonder what all these guys have in common that we might not know thats all. Allen Greenspan was among the guest. Thanks, I-S |

Bilderberg
You're thinking of the Bilderberg Group, which spawned the Trilateral Comission and has nothing to do with Skull & Bones, which is the Yale equivalent of a college fraternity.
The Bilderberg Group is nothing more than a conference held each year so that important people can discuss in an off-the-record manner matters that are important to the US and Western Europe. What they have in common is that they are all powerful, important people that have the ability to enact change and influence policy. |

Bilderberg Fraternity of the powerful

on the history channel. It does not matter about which fraternity they are ALL in. You do seem well informed on these matters. Do you trust these guys ? Do you not see any common threads there ? Skull and Bones and Bilderberg Group and Free Masons ? "enact change and influence policy" that is just what I was pointing out ! Federal Reserve privately owned and operated. One world government ? "off-the-record" these people are the ones that run our government but hey what does it matter what they say or do "off-the-record" ? |
