Organic Foods - Good Or Bad?
What's best for the environment is hotly debated among experts. "There is no scientifically accepted evidence that organic foods are better for the environment. Organic production allows natural pesticides, which can be toxic to humans and wildlife," says Alan McHughen, Ph.D., professor of botany and plant sciences at the University of California, Riverside.

I read something about a month ago that organic is worse for the environment, due to:
Lower yields which require more land, more live stock. More methane production More manure pollution to lakes and streams I think it comes down to what will be cost effective, efficient, and less of a pollutant. side note: did anyone see the report that ethanol turns out to more of a pollutant and alot less efficient than gasoline! |

healthy choices
I like organic foods and think they are a great idea! They are supposed to be healthier and they do taste better. I can especially tell in lettuce...bag vs. organic...bag lettuce definitely has a chemical/preservative taste to it. The more organic choices the better!

"Organic Foods"
What I have experienced with organic foods is that they are more expensive than the regular grown food. I assume that it costs more to grow these foods.
I will wait on the additional research before I begin purchasing organic food. |

I'm an organic gardener when it comes to my own garden, but I won't buy organic produce at the store. I have my reasons...
