I'm no pro on all the laws etc. I just read through the judge thread about the 10 commandments and I was wondering.......
Just what does it take to make a citizen of the US realize their rights are being infringed upon, and how far would you go to prove this point to Americans around you. Sometimes you have to "buck" the system.
Let's say the laws change and congress passes a law that we all have to turn in our weapons, allow gov. to search our premises as they see necessary,(maybe to stop terrorism) ,tell us that we may only voice our religious beliefs in "proper" places.
Well, according to BSr if the law changes he would be a law abiding citizen and do what was asked.
We know Al would shoot 'em all down
Seriously, if congress passes a gun ban ( which could happen one day) saying it was for our safety, would you give in? Or like this judge stand up for your beliefs and be stripped of your dignity and possibly be thrown into prison? Just thought I'd ask

Regardless of how you feel about gun laws you gotta love this!!!!

I was listening to the radio the other day, and I heard one of the
all-time best comeback lines in my life.

Note: This is an exact replication of National Public Radio (NPR)
interview between a female broadcaster, and US Army General Reinwald who
was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military
installation.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to
teach these young boys when they visit your base?"

GENERAL REINWALD: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery,
and shooting."

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: "Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?"

GENERAL REINWALD: "I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on
the rifle range."

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: "Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous
activity to be teaching children?"

GENERAL REINWALD: "I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper
rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm. "

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: "But you're equipping them to become violent
killers."

Excuse me, buddy. First and foremost, I'm a conservative, highly unlikely I'd support any measure to change any law.....especially something as trivial as firearm possession.

In the second place I could ask "what if all the oceans dried up tomorrow" and get some speculatory replies, but that doesn't mean the oceans are going to disappear anytime soon even though evaporation takes place on a daily basis.

My contention is and always has been that the NRA folks are over-reacting just like those who are in favor of gun control. Look at Al trying to rally the troops when not one single politician has introduced a bill to curb your Second Amendment rights, and to the best of my knowledge, no one is even working on one.

As far as I see this issue it's a no brainer! Look at the other counteries that have banned weapons.
That puts the govt. in pretty much complete control, unless they're dealing with the psycho population that will get their hands on weapons anyway.
The best way to control the people is to make sure the sane people cannot fight back!
I use a shotgun myself. If someone intrudes on my property I would like to make sure I don't miss.
Of course I hope I never ever have to come to that......

I do not think you could hit anything with a hand gun but long as you got those double barrels you are in control.

The only people using weapons in an irresponsible fashion are criminals. I intend on retaining the right to keep our guns to defend my home and children against such criminals. Should they choose to try and enter our property and get past Miss Rosie then they will have to meet Smith and Wesson. They will not get past them standing!
