Well, take it for what it's worth.
Scientist: Humans 'very likely' cause of global warming Quote:

Right here in Shreveport, we've seen fewer and fewer ice storms or any significant "Snow" compared to even when I was in highschool in the early 80's. The ice caps are IN FACT breaking away and melting.. as they do Ocean levels rise, more Water means more absorption of the suns rays.. and as more and more of the ice caps melt and break away, this means less and less of the suns rays are getting reflected back into space. Meaning the warmer it gets, the more ice caps that melt, the faster the temps will continue to rise. I'm almost of the opinion, that regardless of what we try to do, we have passed the tipping point, past the point of no return. It's simply gonna get warmer, some places will experience droughts, others will see increasingly stronger and more frequent storms due to the warming oceans. Then in a few 1,000s and 1,000s of years, as all those ice caps melt into our oceans, all that fresh water will slow down or eliminate the "Gulf Stream" type flows in the oceans.. which will in turn make Europe and north america Colder.. and bring on a whole new Ice Age.. so we got that goin' for us party on.
