I think it was part of an old Texaco Refinery,thats what I have always heard. I also heard thats why homes have never been built there- I'm sure some of the "old timers" around here would know more

Ole Sal is approaching 4000 pictures. I had no idea that Shreveport had so much history. I just wish I had more time to explore such things. I used to have a life, now I have customers. LOL if I'm lucky that is....
Kudos once again to Sal for his contribution. We need a picture of Wallace Lake Dam to complete his collection. I recall a field party or two out there in the mid to late 70's.....Trooper and Sheriffs were hip to it too! Wild place with a wild reputation. I have a few stories myself that I am afraid to share. |
