The crowd cheered- they booed...
But most of all, they had a good time for Dana Pitcher's Forces of Destruction MMA event at Shreveport's Municipal Auditorium,
Friday night, December 7th.
About 1,700 folks sat ringside, as well as in the upper and lower balconies watching the 13 bouts
On the card. The 7 "Professional"
Fights will be televised on a various cable outlets across the
Country, according to fight promoter, Dana Pitcher.
The 2 local fighters had some controversy in their bouts. Shreveport's Blake "Trouble" Franklin, alleges he was hit in the groin (below the belt is not allowed)...and consequently, submitted to his. opponent.
Apparently, the referee didn't see the call, and ruled Franklin the loser. He demands a rematch.
Benton hometown favorite Christian Fulgiam took his opponent thru the ropes, both falling 4 feet to the concrete floor with Fulgiam landing on top. Of him, breaking a ringside table in the process. Fulgiam's bout was called "no contest". because of the injury to his opponent.
Fulgiam, too, would like a rematch.
All in all, the crowd got their money's worth...and, Dana Pitcher says he'll be back in February
with Championship Boxing.
It's exciting, and professional-definately entertainment worth the price of admission.
