Although I'm no fan of Hillary this kid is nuts! The boy is so young and now he's done something so stupid he most likely has screwed up any hopes of a successful future.:(

Obama gets Secret Service and now Hillary Clinton gets a threat  what will they use next to get free media :nono:

We sure are getting lots of national news exposure regarding this story.

I agree the kid was stupid but now we have to supply them with body guards.

Hillary Clinton already had body guards or secret service this was about the media hype. Granted the kid was wrong but the press will milk this cow dry.

I agree, so will the politicians because that keeps them in the lime light.

I feel sorry for his parents right now. I can only imagine what they are enduring and wondering. My son if he had done this better hope the Secret Service kept him and that momma couldn't get her hands on him.

I heard a report where his lawyer says that the threat was not serious and the resulting frenzy was due to public paranoia. If they found fertilizer in his garage, or a gun in his possession instead of pot, I might not believe this. However if there is nothing to confirm his alleged intention other than heresay, I wonder. The fact he had some pot is insignificant IMHO. Think about joepole's post the other day in the online entertainment poll.......

"Pornography and the luring of minors across state lines for the purpose of sexual intercourse."

We all know this was sarcasm but only because we "know" him. But when does someone really know someone? When is a joke or parody a genuine threat and vice versa?

Texasbelle 05-05-2007 11:52 PM

I read online somewhere that they found information on his laptop once they searched it to believe that the threat was credible or something along those lines. So it would appear the boy did more than open his mouth and say something stupid once he obviously took it a little further. Of course Baton Rouge is full of Democrats so it could be that this is a whole lot of show boating. I wouldn't totally throw that theory out with the dishwater.
