Where is everyone

Where is everyone on this fine, rainy, cold November day ?

In shock from that LSU loss yesterday ?

Isaac-Saxxon 11-24-2007 04:36 PM

Here am I ! So nice day to be inside by the fire watching anything on the tube. So LSU played a good game but not quite good enough :nono: Les Miles needs to pack it up and move north. Who do the Saints have tomorrow ?

Big division game tomorrow against Carolina Panthers .. @ 1:00

Week after that another Division game Tampa Bay

Week after that, another Division game Atlanta Falcons.

Then follow all that that with Arizona, Phili, then a re-match of the NFC Conference championship game. Saints vs. Da Bears.

If the saints are going to make any kind of drive for the playoffs.. which they have to try and win their division..
Saints are 4-6 Tampa Bay leads the division with a 6-4 record.

Saints have no room for error or defeats.. need to most likely WIN OUT the rest of the year.. and hope for tampa bay to lose a couple of games in the process..

:gosaints:

Now Richard you got your rain and the duck hunters should be happy. I think the LSU fans had to go hide for a day to try and get over the major loss. Just a football game kids so get over it and move on. The Vols want some LSU arse so Les baby better pony up and get the boys ready to play ball. It would make it even easier for Les to leave if he keeps losing. The way he made play calls in the last game he might just be trying to lose
Why oh why did he not give the ball to Hester on the last play of the game ?????????????????????????????????????????? NEXT !!!

Pocahontas 11-26-2007 10:09 AM

I guess like y'all said all the die hard Tiger fans haven't recovered. Guess they are licking their wounds so to speak!;)
Purpa, Belle, it is going to be okay!:D

the Panthers vs Saints game was a lot of fun, perfect football weather (despite the rain shower), and no one in the family cared who won - that is either team winning was fine by us. Though wouldn't call it stellar football. We actually sat among twenty or so Saints fans down from Northern Virginny - they were related to Sean Payton somehow, I forgot how they said exactly.

Part of the fun was riding the new commuter rail train up to downtown - and short walk to the stadium - while not having to worry about the drive or paying for parking. The thing just opened this weekend.

Sounds like fun.. that stadium was looking pretty empty by the end of the 3rd quarter.. been over a year since Carolina won a home game.. stats like that get me worried when the Saints are involved  But they pulled off the win.

Saints A team showed up yesterday or maybe the Panthers B team was there? Well the Saints did win and that is good. It could be worse just ask LSU

Bottom line, the Saints didn't screw up too bad, and I think Carolina had like their 3rd string QB in there.

I believe that Tampa Bay game next week is gonna be rough... :peace:

'cause that's all we got left to play. You probably meant it that way, :peace:
but it may sound like we were just fooling around.

I was enjoying some fine New Orleans weather and paying way too much money for breakfast.

I will have the
EGGS SHANNON
Poached eggs atop fried
trout, served in a bed of
creamed spinach and topped
with Hollandaise sauce.
Suggested Wine - Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay

Great photo !!

Nice photo Joe! Did you feel NO was "tourist ready" again? I've heard different opinions. Looks like some of the fine restaurants are up and running!:)

joepole 11-27-2007 09:29 AM

There were plenty of tourists, but I forgot last weekend was the Bayou Classic so we didn't really go out to anywhere popular.

It's definitely different. I was worried about Brennan's looking at me funny for not wearing a tie, but there were people there in shorts and jogging suits. That was weird.

Morpheus 11-27-2007 10:31 AM

Great photo Joe. I have done the Brennan's breakfast many times. World's best grits, bar none. Fine dining everywhere has relaxed on dress codes and I say it's about time. If you've got the cash, come on in and be seated. My favorite is Hawaii where you can wear flip flops and shorts while your waiter is dressed in a tux. Hawaiian style.

Mrs. Morph and I have been to N.O. several times (3-4) since the hurricane. It has gotten better each time. The first time a lot of stuff was still closed, not because it was damaged, but because they couldn't find anyone to work there. Last time we went, and it has been a few months, everything seemed almost back, except that the caliber of waitstaff is down, because they are mostly inexperienced. We used to love the table side Caesar salad at court of two sisters, but last time we went it wasn't available. In fact most of the table side offerings were gone because they didn't have anyone experienced enough to do it.
