Nobody mentioned the beloved natchitoches meat pies!!!

It's about pies and thighs. We don't stay on topic. We frequently change topics. And sometimes (like now) get on more than one topic!!!

So which is your fav??/ Thighs, pies, or how about French fries?

It's no jive that I like thighs and pies but not French fries. I bet you have pretty eyes, even though Isaac lies. I must say my byes (sigh)

Why thank you Piemaker. I am ready for some of that home cooked pie you make. Garden is looking good are you about ready for some green tomatoes ?

Heck Yeah! Anytime, I growed up cleaning fish, squirrels, rabbits and other critters.

This is a true story. My grandfather used to eat fried squirrels way back before I was born. The gross part is that at the table they would fight over who gets to crack the skulls eat the brain! (Its supposed to make you smart)

And folks give me a hard time nowadays for liking sushi...... :D

Yes but the head is cooked so therefore the brain is too. When I would go to the lake I would see a rabbit and would stop to kill it. I woud then skin it [or has some say pull the fur off] I would build me a fire up, stick a stick through the rabbit, a little salt or seasoning, and roast the rabbit until done. It was so good! Squrriel I've had fried or smothered in gravy, both good.:)
