Pokie, are you a Rick Springstien (Sp?) fan? He's coming soon - Horseshoe I think...

TB, I definitely want to see Martina - not sure on plans yet. How 'bout you?

that's Rick Springfield LOL

Yes, agree, I prefer the smaller shows. I've been to my share of concerts at the Union arena in dallas, or the cotton bowl in dallas, or starplex etc..
But give me a band playing in a small club anyday!

Yes I do like Rick Springfield! Even way back when he was Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital!!:lovely: LOL...I saw him back in the 80s at La. Tech!! I bet he would be fun to see again. It's quite pleasurable to travel back down Memory Lane!

I laughed so hard at myself when I realized what I typed!! I hurried to post, then about an hour later, I realized what I had done. Oops!! :o

I'm with you LateNight! I love good music of all kinds, and I like the smaller setting!!

We are going to see Martina. Also, we are going to fly to Atlanta or Vegas and see Michael Buble. Now he is a man who puts on a great show! Mr Belle and I saw him last year in Ft. Worth and he was great. Mini Belle saw him in Baton Rouge and he flirted with Mini Belle during his whole show.

I hope we all never outgrow going to concerts and good music!

I saw Rick Springfield at one of the casinos about a decade ago. The audience was 99% old women who were wearing the shirts they had bought on a previous tour of his, which looked (for most of them) to have been 15 years and 175 lbs ago.

I would think the only boys that would go see Rick Springfield would be the gay crowd

Joe good to see you are in touch with your feminine side :flirt:

We went because we assumed there would be a ton of girls there, and few guys. We didn't realize beforehand that "a ton" only required 4 or 5 of those girls.

I was kind of embarrassed to recognize so many R.S. songs.

Amen Sheba! You need to see him if you can. He puts on quite the show and is so fun to watch. He runs around the audience and sings. The only downside is we were scared when our daughter called from Baton Rouge to tell us that he told us she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, had the prettiest eyes, etc. She was walking out of the concert hall as she was telling me this and we didn't hear from her for a while. Dad was scared to death she was on Buble's bus headed to somewhere!!! Now Dad knows that Buble is just a flirt and has extremely great taste in lovely girls.

Now back on topic...I see where Ms. Lohan has checked back into rehab. I wonder how long this will last.

That would be a scary experience!! How old is your daughter?

As far as Ms. Lohan, launching into adulthood hit pretty hard. She's a Disney star like B. Spears - Hope that rehab does work and she doesn't follow any further in Britney's footsteps!!

Texasbelle 05-29-2007 08:18 PM

Our daughter is 21. I wasn't worried about her going anywhere with Buble. I know she's been raised right, but Dad just was a little scared he might turn his daughter's head. She wasn't swayed too much by the man's attention. I was wondering why she didn't right her phone number on her forehead in lipstick!!!!! jk

Britney Spears is a mess right now. I am not quite sure she is going to recover from the tarnished image and the disaster she's made of her life. It's not impossible but she's got some serious work to do. I feel really concerned for her children. I hope they are getting adequate care and mothering. Looking at some of these Hollywood kids makes you very thankful for a normal life.

Isaac-Saxxon 05-30-2007 09:57 AM

You girls sound like you would be right at home in Branson  I bet you would like Wayne Newton too ;) How about some rock and roll  Maybe some Blues Music ? How about some Floyd  Aerosmith,G&R and maybe Bon Jovi ? Well all kinds of music for all kinds of people
