So there were other Eckerd stores not included in the recent buyout by CVS? If you'll recall, just a couple years back Eckerd, which was owned by the JC Penney company, was purchased by CVS. Maybe these are just Eckerd stores in Canada included in this buyout by Rite-Aid.

It's just you.

Just kidding.

Look at the corner of Pines and W. 70th as a prime example of how extreme the competition is. On one corner you have a Circle-K, on another corner a Walgreen's, on another a Rite-Aid, and on another a CVS. The Circle-K is the only non-pharmacy business at that intersection.

Even Haughton now has a sign, across from the McDonald's, advertising a CVS coming soon. North Bossier just got a new Walgreen's, 1 mile down the road from the existing one on Airline Drive, and CVS is building where Grandy's used to be at the corner of Airline and E. Texas.

Competition among the large pharmaceutical chains is intense.
