Gettin to know ya, and greetings from "Al"
Hello everyone! Isaac has asked me to start a thread and tell you all a bit about myself. As you've no doubt guessed, my name isn't "Al Swearengen". Im just such a "Dead Wood" fan that I figured his name would make a good "handle" and his likeness a cool avatar. Name is Sam, 39 years old and lived in the Shreveport/Bossier area since 1972, and currently own a house in Southern Hills. Married, and have a 19 year old son (who lives with me) and a 16 year old daughter (lives with my ex in Colorado) also have 3 grown stepchildren. Attended Parkway High in Bossier, and BPCC. Worn many hats over the years, was a US Army Specialist 4 (radio operator) and was last stationed in Frankfurt, Germany back in 1989-91. Been in the private security biz since 1992. Amateur carpenter/woodworker and a gun collector/enthusiast. Enjoy good cigars, booze, and food. Favorite eatery is Chili's, where the wife and I go for great food and our favorite specialty margaritas (I like the Chambord 1800, she likes the Tropical Sunrise), we can frequently be found there on Friday nights. Like to try a different place every weekend, but Chili's seems to be the default. Guess that about covers it. Be interested to learn more about you other folks.

Thankyou, Rhertz, for the kind words. I've enjoyed your posts as well, in fact, I can honestly say I've enjoyed reading everyone's posts. And I agree, the messege board format allows people to speak their minds in a way that would be difficult to do otherwise. Cheers!

LateNight here I for one can tell you all.. to KNOW Al is to Love AL LOL
I too enjoy a good drink among friends and a good cigar. And good music. what more could one ask for. Anyone dare me to post a picture of me an Al A.k.a "sam" doing just that ? LOL As a young kid in school, I said "I want to work in computers" or some such.. little did I realize I'd make a living at it for the past 20+ years. Started off in Desktop Publishing back in the late 80's on a Macintosh SE. Right here in Shreveport. Then when the Internet took off.. got into web design and some programming. More importantly though, I can say that all those years, I worked with some of the best folks around. I've been very lucky that way! |
