The manager and all the good employees left the Bossier mall location when the Youree one opened. The folks at the Youree store are top notch.

Also, Isaac, I normally don't eat at HH unless I'm getting a haircut or they deliver. Going anywhere on Youree isn't worth it at lunchtime.

Now you right about Youree Drive. That menu looked mighty good. I need to shed quite a few pounds before one daughter gets married this fall so tuna fish and salad are my best friends. You have very good taste in food and restaurants too.

You got that right fo sure!
I don't miss the days when I used to live in South Shreveport.. lived in Haystack apartments at one time in the late 80's, lived in a few other apartment complexes closer to LSUS and rented a home down that way as well..

Driving on Youree drive on a daily basis, was nothing but a headache, even back then, before all those cotton fields turned into shopping centers and super walmarts etc..

I remember getting stuck down that a way shortly after Katrina, the south end of town there was inundated with travelers from south LA, and we also had that "Gas shortage" going on at that time. so every gas station had a line stretching past their respective lots etc.. it was freaking insane !

I prefer my casual drive into town from North Shreveport/Blanchard way.

Hey Joe do you know if the owners of the Youree Drive branch opened the new North Bossier store too. I'm curious because I had heard they (the Chick Fil A big wigs) weren't going to allow him to own two franchises. I'd like to continue to frequent his store.

Somebody moved from the Youree store to the N Bossier one, but I don't know if it was the manager, asst. manager, janitor or what. They had a "good luck in Bossier, Mike" (or whatever name) sign up one day.

Oh Pokie I can answer that one!!! I actually asked that question yesterday when we could not get the lunch delivered. They asst. manager at the Mall location (who was not the sharpest tool in the shed) stated when I asked if the same person owned all three that they are all owned by three different people.

I just laughed and said "Yep, I can tell."

Well another bad place is Pappa John's Pizza on Airline. We have ordered 3 diferent times this month and every time our order was wrong. The first time they lost one of our pizza [we ordered 2], we had to wait for them to make it while the first got cold. We payed for extra dipping sauce, they left it out, we had to go back for it. Tonight we ordered 2 pizzas and it took a hour to get. The one I eat was wrong and had to be taken back and remade. That took anoher 45 minutes. So everyone ate but me and my daughter because we had to wait for the 2nd pizza. I told them they had the three strike rule and I would not order again from them.

Reminds me of a true story. About 3 weeks ago I went through Mick D's drive thru and ordered my usual, a sausage bisquit and a coke. They gave me a large bag full of food. I was in a hurry and I just took it and kept going. I went to the office and fed my whole staff.

Talking favorite fast food resturant

My favorite fast food resturant is Back Yard Burgers. There is one located by Old Navy on Airline Drive in Bossier. I love their #1 burger blackened with cheddar cheese, pickles, and onions. They use red onions too!! I like their seasoned fries as well. They are a little more expensive than other fast food burger joints but well worth it for a blackened burger!

Yeah, I used to enjoy a good Back Yard Burger, and liked those fries as well.. However, I do try to avoid that Airline traffic when ever possible

Also, I think I've about had my fill of "fast food" burgers.. I tossed out my barbque a few years ago, was so banged up, and never replaced it. I want a real "Back Yard" burger, with some fresh lettuce, and home-grown tomatoe, and some onions.

I got to thinking are there any A & W's anymore around here? I have seen one in Ruston connected to a service station but can't think of anymore.
When we were kids that was my favorite! Although I didn't like the rootbeer floats the coke ones were good!
