Post Bandwise LLC taps Tom Pace as Executive Editor

Bandwise, LLC, taps Tom Pace as Executive Editor for SBLive! website

Pace is also Talk of the Town host on Shreveport.com: 1.8 Million Hits per month

"We're very excited about Tom Pace heading up the Shreveport.Com Internet team," said Allen Marsalis, President of Bandwise, LLC, which owns both www.shreveport.com, and www.bossier.com, also known as Shreveport Bossier Live, affectionately called: SBLive!

A local radio personality, talk show host, and former radio senior account executive, Pace brings 42 years of media experience as a radio personality, television news reporter, writer, photographer, columnist, marketing and internet consultant. He's also a former college professor, having taught Speech Communications, along with Introduction to Radio & TV Broadcasting at U.A.L.R. in Little Rock.

"Shreveport.Com and Bossier.Com are rapidly growing in the number of visitors visiting our sites monthly," said Marsalis. "Right now we've logged nearly 2 million hits in the past 30 days, Marsalis continued. "That's 1,861,735 page views as of this morning to be exact," he said.

Tom will continue to host "Talk of the Town with Tom Pace" on a podcast form, as you can log on, and hear a wide variety of interviews with local and national personalities, politicians and community leaders.

"Tom's exclusive One-on-One interview with Governor Kathleen Blanco is just one example" Marsalis continued, "I watched when this interview was videotaped last Monday, October 29th, in the Regions Bank Building, downtown Shreveport. I was very impressed by Tom's interview style, as Governor Blanco was extremely candid, on a wide variety of topics, ranging from: The Jena 6...to FEMA...President Bush...Louisiana Attorney General Charles Foti...outgoing Agriculture Secretary Bob Odom...FEMA's recent "Fake" News Conference regarding the wildfires in California, and more."

You can also hear Governor Blanco talk about how she was judged by the country when she cried on national television while talking about the Katrina devastation. Blanco says, "For a man [to cry] its very sensitive (referring to Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour), for a woman, she's weak." Log on to http://www.shreveport.com/blanco and click on the podcast icon, to hear the Governor's one-hour interview with Tom.

One of the major objectives at Shreveport.com is to continue to be a Voice for the Cities of Shreveport-Bossier, the Ark-La-Tex, and the Nation.

A very important point made by Publisher Allen Marsalis:
We at SBLive! do not see our website as a "drive by" media source or a "soft venue", but rather we define ourselves as an alternative Internet news source, so called Media 2.0 which is not limited by time constraints, rating systems, and commercial breaks that define conventional media. Our intention is not to convey a liberal or conservative viewpoint. We believe our readers and participants are intelligent and can draw their own conclusions and express their own opinions. It is both with purpose and pride that we offer this non-stop, unedited, full hour interview with our present Louisiana Governor over the World Wide Web.

SBLive! Executive Editor Tom Pace delves deep into Blanco's past, present, and future. We are pleased to have recorded this interview not only to report a current news story, but also to preserve our Louisiana legacy for future generations to consider long after catastrophe's such as Katrina and Rita fade in memory. Politics aside, the devastation of New Orleans was an unprecedented catastrophe in recent history, and we hope you garner additional perspective into such extraordinary and inconceivable times that we all witnessed firsthand here in Louisiana.
