It's not a political issue, to the greatest extent. I was talking about this earlier today at lunch.

The corporate world has evolved into the notion that unless there is profit, there is no need to perform any service. I believe that since Exxon and other oil companies are among the richest corporations in America and the world, they should rely on performing their duty to the American public by giving efficient gas prices. If they can't get their oil supplied as cheap as they want, tough ****, people lose out on money, but something as necessary to our modern lives as oil and gasoline, these things can't be inflating as rapidly as they are and still remain in control.

The government allows this to go on because they have a very nice tax on gasoline, and they'd like to enjoy the luxury of extra free money into their pocket with a hole larger than the American public's *******s. Things need to be seriously regulated if we're already living in the socialist society that we are, they need to either own up to the full freedoms that were given at the foundation of the country or admit the turn to socialism in economic and political America.
