Just curious if there are any local Vonage customers out there, and if so what do they think of the service.

I was looking into that today, they're running an offer, free hardware, waving the setup fee, two free months on two phone lines.. Even once they started charging, it was going to be cheaper than my cheapest regular Bellsouth phone line..

However. they state I can't yet get a LOCAL number. They did offer for an addition $4.00/month, a Toll Free Number I could use. I thought that sounded like a freakin' pain, trying to think of local friends and family having to dial an 800 number or the like to call me. But I am so interested in this service.. even with the two numbers and toll free numbers.. this would be cheaper than my usual freakin' BELLSOUTH number.
