A man saw a piece of concrete fall from the Texas Street Bridge

Here we go.....:rolleyes:Believe me, every time I drive my 26,000 pound tow-truck over these bridges(20-40 times a day)-I'm thinking about that minesota bridge! If there was a sign on each bridge that said " this bridge is 50% safe" or "40% safe",would you use it? :eek:I, personally, would like to see the reports on our local bridges.

I hear that all the bridges in Iraq are brand new! :D

Oh no this freaks me out! I drive over the Jimmie Davis bridge several times a day and it is ancient!:(

I read an article last week that said one of the first bridges in Texas is on the Highway I live on!!!!!!! How is that for a warm and fuzzy???? Thankfully, I don't have to drive over it unless I just want to drive an unusual way to Shreveport which I will no longer be taking now that the word is out!

Hahahaha, I guess this year's and last's hurricane seasons were too slow so now everyone is going to start being overly-paranoid about bridges instead.

Would somebody please be sure to email me when this blows over and we're supposed to worry about SARS again? Or bird flu. Or mad cow disease.

Well I drive my boats under those bridges all the time and they look old and make strange sounds all the time. I choose to not fish near them at all. The sounds of the city are all to loud. Jimmie Davis needs some help. The I-20 bridge is no place to be fishing. I can just see a major wreck overhead with gasoline a flame coming down. NOT !

My mobility scooter can outrun yours. A chunk of concrete on a family attending one of the festivals would sure put a damper on things.

I think it is a good sign that we are returning to domestic paranoia such as peanut butter, spinich, and bridges. This means the terrorists are loosing some of their media limelight, which is a good thing.

i love how they act like it is no big deal. There are certain things that i don't like things falling off of for instance an airplane, a roller coaster, and a bridge!

Sometimes they fall off even when brand new. I recall the Chase aka Bank One aka First National Bank Building downtown loosing some of its bricks (or pieces of brick) soon after contruction. I wouldn't like to be walking on the sidewalk and have a chuck of brick fall 10 stories and hit me in the head, but guess they solved their little problem with that building a long time ago.
