Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, a U.S. senator from Illinois, has been placed under the protection of the Secret Service, the agency said Thursday.

I'd b suspecious of hill.

And who has not been threatened ? He wants to catch the medias eye and look as presidential as he can. I do not think he can beat Clinton for the DNC nomination.

I would think alot of people probably threaten things, but just don't act.... I wish bad things on government people at least once a quarter

I thought they said on the news last night night that they were not responding to any particular threats. They said it was because he was "drawing such large crowds" but doesn't everybody assume it's because he's black?

What better way to get free publicity. Claim you have been threatened and sit back and let the news roll. I wonder how long it will take the Clinton machine to claim some threats.
