Think we'll ever see a snow like that again in Shreveport/Bossier ?
Last decent snow around here I remember was that new years day in like 2000.

Wasn't that when it snowed so much during the Independence Bowl? I'll never forget watching that on tv then looking outside too and being so shocked! I could handle that about once a winter.

What the heck is "package liquor"?

Package Liquor Store

A "Package Liquor Store" was where liquor was sold by the bottle (no single drinks - not a bar) and packaged according to ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) Board laws.
The photo you see was at the corner of Hamilton Road and East Texas Street (Hwy. 80) at the old Harry's Bar-be-que Drive-In.
I believe Harry's Bar-be-que burned down during the 1970's or 80's.
