What's your favorite fast food restaurant?
Where do you like to eat when you are in a hurry and why?
Who has good service and what do you order? :lick: |
The greater you love Taco Bell the better you ability to feel the pain
I would pick Roly Poly  |
Good one! But I love Taco Bell and Sonic and Chick Fil A! I like the drive up or drive through aspect of those! I usually get some sort of grilled chicken entree... trying to keep down the fat grams at fast food establishments isn't easy!

My fav's are: Chick Fil A, Taco Bell, and PoBoy Express. The Rajun Cajun without the Olives at PoBoy Express is my very favorite, but you better take an antacid before you partake of it! They also deliver which is nice if you are at the office.

My favorite is subway. A breakfast sausage biscuit from Micky D's is ok. (the only thing I'll each there) Sandwiches from Courtyard Coffee are good.
|
I have to admit I do love McDonalds :lick: The service can be terrible but what can you expect when there's a 99 cent menu  lol
|
Based on my personal experience Subway is the most consistently filthy restaurant chain in the United States and Taco Bell is the second most consistently filthy restaurant chain in the United States. The Subway in downtown Shreveport is still new enough to be sort of clean, but every other one I've ever been in was absolutely filthy. I haven't eaten at a Taco Bell since 1992 because 1. the food is incredibly awful-tasting and devoid of any nutritional value 2. the restaurants are disgusting.
Chick-Fil-A has consistently clean, well-maintained, over-staffed restaurants. I give them business whenever I can. Cane's is likewise well-run, but the service is slower than it should be, especially in the drive-thru. I really only like their breakfast food, but McDonald's basically invented to fast food franchise and is still one of the best at doing what it should be dong: delivering food the customer expects in a timely, orderly fashion. The fact that they do this with the unavoidable turnover of a fast food restaurant really is incredible. Wendy's does an OK job, but it's not the same class of service. Burger King is terrible. People are milling around the end of the line, waiting on their food or using the self-serve drink machines. We order a lot of box lunches for in-office meetings and the only restaurant to get every order correct 100% of the time is Heavenly Ham. If you oder thirty box lunches every single one will be exactly as it was ordered and the box will be labeled with that person's name no matter of the order was done over the phone or via fax. I also give them business whenever I can. |

Excellent advice!! Short, to the point... And totally true. Which is why I like this thread. Finding "good" fast food in a sea of drive-thru's is extremely difficult. Like crabfishing!! :D Sometimes I head straight into the wind and drive thru Shanes to order a catfish dinner and half a dozen Zwolle tamales... Maybe even some crawfish if in season.. :D |

We learned a lesson today at our office. Don't order from the Chick Fil A at the Mall in Bossier. Judging from my conversations with the people working their the IQ level is LOW. We had a drug rep order lunch from there. He gave the instructions for it to be delivered by 12:00. It wasn't an unusually large order nor is our office very difficult to find. It's a very well known facility in town. Long story short. The lunch did not arrive until after 1:00. The manager's excuse to me was the girl "took the main road to your office instead of the Interstate". Our office is in Shreveport off Bert Kouns. The delivery girl informed us when she got to the office that she did not actually leave Bossier though until 12:45 as opposed to the manager who told us that she left at 12:00.
My whole point is I hate poor customer service especially when the business can't be honest about the problem whatever it was. We've never had this problem with the store on Youree and we will be sure they get all of the business from this point forward. |

No, I didn't order it. I would have used the Youree Drive location. Duh!
A drug rep brought lunch to our office and HE ordered it from Bossier. I don't know why but he did. Stupid I know. He said he was trying to spread some of the business around. He ordered about $200 worth of sandwiches, nuggets, tea, and dessert. It's not your typical order. They do have a catering division at each store. |

Latenight, I talked to three people from that store yesterday and cumutively I don't think they had an IQ of 50.

The manager and all the good employees left the Bossier mall location when the Youree one opened. The folks at the Youree store are top notch.
Also, Isaac, I normally don't eat at HH unless I'm getting a haircut or they deliver. Going anywhere on Youree isn't worth it at lunchtime. |

I don't miss the days when I used to live in South Shreveport.. lived in Haystack apartments at one time in the late 80's, lived in a few other apartment complexes closer to LSUS and rented a home down that way as well.. Driving on Youree drive on a daily basis, was nothing but a headache, even back then, before all those cotton fields turned into shopping centers and super walmarts etc.. I remember getting stuck down that a way shortly after Katrina, the south end of town there was inundated with travelers from south LA, and we also had that "Gas shortage" going on at that time. so every gas station had a line stretching past their respective lots etc.. it was freaking insane ! I prefer my casual drive into town from North Shreveport/Blanchard way. |

Somebody moved from the Youree store to the N Bossier one, but I don't know if it was the manager, asst. manager, janitor or what. They had a "good luck in Bossier, Mike" (or whatever name) sign up one day.
|
Oh Pokie I can answer that one!!! I actually asked that question yesterday when we could not get the lunch delivered. They asst. manager at the Mall location (who was not the sharpest tool in the shed) stated when I asked if the same person owned all three that they are all owned by three different people.
I just laughed and said "Yep, I can tell." |

Well another bad place is Pappa John's Pizza on Airline. We have ordered 3 diferent times this month and every time our order was wrong. The first time they lost one of our pizza [we ordered 2], we had to wait for them to make it while the first got cold. We payed for extra dipping sauce, they left it out, we had to go back for it. Tonight we ordered 2 pizzas and it took a hour to get. The one I eat was wrong and had to be taken back and remade. That took anoher 45 minutes. So everyone ate but me and my daughter because we had to wait for the 2nd pizza. I told them they had the three strike rule and I would not order again from them.
|
Reminds me of a true story. About 3 weeks ago I went through Mick D's drive thru and ordered my usual, a sausage bisquit and a coke. They gave me a large bag full of food. I was in a hurry and I just took it and kept going. I went to the office and fed my whole staff. :D
|
Well these idiots, when told they screwed up again, offered us a 2 liter coke free. Big deal, what a $1.59 uh.
