West Nile slow to appear this season
“This year started not very hot. There all kind of weather conditions that could possibly explain it, but the truth is, we don’t completely understand,” said Raoult Ratard, state epidemiologist. “There have been some birds and some mosquitoes that have tested positive, but really not many pools (of mosquitoes) have been positive.”

I'm glad it hasn't been prevalent this summer. Due to the heat I've been walking outside at night.
