You people know you can get over-the-air HD signals of all the major networks for free, right? OTA HD is actually a better picture than HD via satellite or cable, it's not like in the days of rabbit ears.

This site will tell you the best direction to point an antenna for digital reception:

A ballpark figure for Shreveport/Bossier is to point it towards Oil City.

You people !? You People !? what the heck is that supposed to mean ?? :)
I've tried using one of these HD antenna that sits on a shelf in the living room.. it all integrates real well with the DirecTV equipment, including these new found channels in the guide etc.. But damn if I have much luck getting these channels well. I've discovered that some of them work well when it's freakin' raining out compared to a clear day. I thought I might would have good luck, considering where I am in North Shreveport. I guess I need a better roof top antenna ... ?

TGIFF !!

My antenna is pointed more towards Springhill. However, I don't receive channel 6. I get all of the other ones. I had tried several orientations when I first set it up and this seemed to be the best, but maybe I need to reevaluate it.

I purchased a "medium" gain antenna. The kind you might mount outdoors, but mine sits on top of my built in media cabinet-mostly out of sight. I just did it temporarily, to check the signals, but the wife didn't complain so there it sits. Interesting to note, I get better reception in the house than in the attic (my original desired mounting place). The shingles cut the signal dramatically.

Mines is in the attic and works great. KTAL (NBC/Channel 6) is weak, though.

I don't know when the season is over I didn't see any previews for next week.
Yep McSteamy is getting what he deserves but I don't really like Dr. Hahn.
Christina's character gets better all the time!

well it's a sad fact of life in the morph household that if you want to spend some time with the missus on a Thursday evening then you're gonna have to eat some prime time soap.

Pocahontas 01-11-2008 11:42 AM

Good for you Morph! That should score you lots of brownie points! More husbands should be like that! I watch Cops and Tru tv for the same reasons but Mr. P will not watch shows I find entertaining. We have finally found a couple of programs we will both watch on the Food Network!:laugh:On the downside I tend to want to eat alot more after watching these programs!

Luckily Mrs. M is not adversed to my "style" of watching TV, which involves frequent segues and "multitasking". She only gets annoyed if I speak to her during the program. Ahhh quality time!

I do not care if woman watches her shows. I like to have a real story line and if I wanted soft porn then I would watch it :D If it makes woman happy then I am all for it. KTBS local news is lame at best.

I am very upset, that I didn't get to see the episode last night. I guess that I will have to catch it in reruns - since the strike is ongoing! Was it good?

Morpheus 01-12-2008 07:45 AM

you can watch it on your computer...

Pocahontas 01-12-2008 09:18 AM

Yea that does work out nicely if you miss an episode and need to catch up!

IS if you think that is soft porn you have not watched anything on FX!:p
