When is it time to vote?
 

I came up here from New Orleans and now I see all these signs about vote for me. Where do I go and when? Back home I guess about this time we'd all be outside passin the time and a van or something would come by and say "ya'll come on it's time to vote". Do they do that here? Nobodys told me nothin. Sometimes I remember a pretty white lady would be there handin folks some food or couple dollars when we got in the van and theyd take us out and bring us back. That was a nice time. Sometimes Miss Schwegman would meet us at one of her stores and we could go in and get something and shed just remind us to vote and we be off. Up here its just signs. How do I know what to do?

Well you see you just tell us where you live and Texasbelle and I will come and personally pick you up and take you to vote. The catch is you have to vote for whomever we tell you to! Sound like a plan?:rolleyes:

What about me? I wouldn't mind that agreement. It might be nice company.

Unfortunately, me and the 'hurl family will be out of town on votin' day so I am going to absentee vote next week. It starts Saturday and runs through next week. I will vote again in Baton Rouge on the 20th. I like voting early and often. Probably how chitlin votes in N.O. I wonder if that " pretty white lady" was a Landreau maybe? Hey chitlin where was she when y'all were going to the SuperDome?

Here in Louisiana, it don't matter where you live. You can be in Houston or Atlanta, or whereever, you can vote if you lived here years ago. Votes in Louisiana stay in Louisiana. Vote early and vote often!! ;)
