While it is a touching story, one has to wonder how many dates she actually turned down.

Someone PMed me said it would either be you or Joepole that would say that. The thing is her dad was leaving for Iraq and she wanted a special memory for the both of them. As everyone knows he could not come back, But let's all hope he does. She could have been like other teens that thought about boyfriends, partying and staying out all night. But who did she think of.

Like I said, touching story, but I'd like to know how many dates she actually turned down....

Can you ever say anything nice? Why do you always have to say something negative? This is a great story, a touching story, about a girl who could lose her father and you have to go and be a horse's behind AGAIN!

I wonder how many turned YOU down for the prom? Probably all of them or at least the ones that had sense.

From the pictures I saw. she looks like a nice enough girl.. I would think she had options.. but chose to take her dad instead. Too bad he'll be in Iraq for her graduation.

2. We didn't go to prom. What part of my personality makes you think I enjoy playing dress up?

I clicked the link to the story, I know that must be difficult for you.

I think the fact they did what they did, says plenty about their relationship, and her respect for her father, and his impending trip to Iraq.
