Iran Does Far Worse Than Ignore Gays, Critics Say
1 Attachment(s)
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s seemingly ridiculous claim that "we don’t have homosexuals, like in your country" masks the cruel reality that his government does far worse than ignore gays, human rights groups charge.
"There are criminal laws on the books in Iran that allows for people to be killed for being homosexual," said Paula Ettelbrick, executive director of the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,297982,00.html Attachment 1509 |

No one should be murdered for being gay! What they do in the bedroom shouldn't be how someone is judged in how they function in society. One of the people I love most is gay and a benefit to society and a huge part of my life!:peace:

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070926/D8RTEMK00.html Wait I have customers, friends and family that are gay  That does not mean I do not like them !!! I do not have to say gay is OK to be PC and I will not ever think it is a good thing morally. Society has always had problem accepting gays. I wonder if people would have pounce on Rosie if she had been a nice heterosexual and not a lesbian ? This is a great cause for the DNC along with abortion and socialism  You can paint this horse any color you would like but it is still a Trojan no matter the color. |
Homosexuals in Iran
I too thought that the Iranian PMs remarks were ironic, even laughable. He believes that there are no homosexuals in Iran because he has done all he can to get rid of them.
I believe that homosexual behavior is immoral. Also, being a military woman myself, I am bound by oath to follow the U.S. Military Code of Justice which prohibits homosexual activity as well as adultery. I agree with General Pace when he reafirmed his statements agains homosexuallity. God's Word, the Bible which I also try to follow to the best of my ability states that it is wrong. I don't in any way condone the execution or imprisonment of homosexuals simply for acting homosexual. Unfortunately, it isn't against civil law. The "Civil Rights Activists" are however, overlooking one of the charges agains the two Iranians in the article: They are acused of raping a young boy. I know that some would say that this was made up as an excuse to execute them, or even that gays should be allowed to live the way they want to. Well, rape is a very serious crime (punishable by death in the Bible), so shouldn't rape of a child, and even worse, homosexual rape of a child be abhored by all? If someone did that to my child, I believe that I would be unable to stop myself from breaking the fifth commandment. Anyway, those are my thoughts. I don't expect any of you to agree, just to allow me to vent now and then. Thank you. |
