Much money has been spent trying to find her. I guess she hit the wall and now has a new life. It would be nice if she called to say she is doing well and stop the police from hunting her down. Truth is stranger than fiction.

I think whatever her reasons for leaving her marriage and life, they are her reasons. BUT it would be the right thing to do to go ahead and contact law enforcement officials to let them know she is ok. Her family needs to know that she is ok. It's the right thing to do.

Just as a taxpayer I would have to agree. Police could spend $100k or more searching for her. That money comes from somewhere.

If I recall, the "runaway bride" had to repay some of the costs associated with her search, which probably isn't a bad idea to let folks know that they don't have the right to use up limited police money and manpower when there are real crimes that need solving.

You are worried about tax payer dollars. What if it was your wife ? Well never mind that but let us wait and see before we cast stones :D

Reward offered for information about missing Alabama woman

Pocahontas 07-30-2007 08:02 PM

Apparently this woman has been found living in NYC working in a fast food restaurant! She left of her own free will after pawning her wedding ring but won't say why.

Isabella 07-30-2007 09:35 PM

No telling what went on behind closed doors. She probably did not have the courage to tell her husband she wanted a divorce. Still it is hard to believe she left her children behind. I bet she suffered some sort of trauma in her marriage.

Pocahontas 07-30-2007 10:54 PM

I think so too. There's no telling what all went on in that household!! The sad part is the kids are traumatized no matter what the outcome!:(

Isaac-Saxxon 07-31-2007 06:56 AM

The woman abandon her kids ?? Hello ? Trauma for the kids and the entire family. If her marriage was bad then leave her husband. If she needed to leave then tell the police that are searching for her. She sounds like she has lost her marbles and needs help. I do not feel sorry for a woman that would abandon her kids.

Pocahontas 07-31-2007 09:54 AM

I don't feel sorry for her necessarily I just meant there's got to be an underlying reason for her fleeing like that. She could be a drug addict, or an abused spouse. I'm just trying to figure out WHY she left them. I'm sure it will come out in time.
