I read the thread, That letter was caused by poor management who told corporate their version of your experiences, which led to the letter. They didn't want to admit that they couldn't get your order right- so you were labeled a pain in the arse! making a burger without cheese is not complicated! I would have written-up whoever was responsible, and if it happened again, they would be fired. These are BASIC management skills that are apparently lacking, partly because their wages run off anyone qualified. The reason I quit was because I wanted to stay in middle management, and they dont allow that. You have to move up to stay working there. Which is rediculous:rolleyes:

If you think I come down hard on McD's you know why. I have good reason, I hope those scumbags at those restaurants will somehow read these threads.

vixweb 10-24-2007 06:27 PM

I was trying to imply that with the first thread- You have plenty to be pissed at! And the things I noticed @ the one today maybe because someone that matters read this thread. Again, We'll see:peace:

Al Swearengen 10-24-2007 08:43 PM

Yeah, but see, if somebody wants to tamper with the food they can do it very easily without management or the customer bein the wiser. Thats the first thing. Secondly, food-tamperers are obviously amoral and should NOT be allowed to prepare food for others, the problem is identifyin them in the pre-employment stages. I think the maggots that'll tamper with your food are the same maggots that commit random murders, burgle homes, rob convenience and liquor stores, jack cars, mug pedestrians, rape women and molest children, and thats why I think they should be summarily executed on the spot when they're caught doin it.

Well these managers and owners need to read these threads because they should know what people think and to look at how many people are reading each thread. You know word of mouth can hurt a business eventually.

I used to eat at that location fairly often for breakfast until this thread started. Yes I noticed it seemed to be managed well, perhaps better than other McDonalds (which was why I went there). But again, I don't think the original poster would lie about something like this. So assuming it is true, it doesn't matter to me how clean the place is if a rogue employee is spitting on food for whatever reason. I would just as soon try my luck at a different McD's with different staff if you know what I mean.

I understand and as long as you don't think about it happening at any other store you'll be alright uh.:D:pray::pray:

right. Otherwise, I would only cook at home, and I can't do that.

SBCmetroguy 10-25-2007 06:01 PM

I saw the word "management" mentioned.

What the hell is that? I rarely ever go to McD's anymore, except occasionally when I am VERY hungry on my way to work in the morning. What I have noticed, however, is that the "managers" these days appear afraid to do anything to their employees so they all act like the employees are their buddies.

Not no, but hell no... that is NOT how business works.

rhertz 11-15-2007 09:39 AM

Update: I was eating at another McDonalds this morning and I recognized one of the employees from the Linwood@Bert Kouns store which I am currently boycotting. So it occurred to me that one owner might own several locations and move employees around. So the burger spitter could be anywhere! Arg!

Why do you keep going to McDonald's?

I go there for the ever-delicious Sausage Bisquit in the morning. I wouldn't step foot in Micky D's after 10am....

I figure I can see a loogy on a sausage bisquit which is "dry" with nothing else on it.... You think? :D

joepole 11-15-2007 02:37 PM

The Egg McMuffin and the french fires are all I ever eat from there.

I'm big on home cooking. I'm cooking for my whole fam this Thanksgiving. I figure I'll do my duty and get it out of the way at the start of the holiday season. Then I'll leave Christmas dinner, New Years, and Easter to the rest of the family.

Yes I did. I thought it was an interesting movie since they successfully (in my case) made you root for the bad guy.

Clip is from the movie Waiting. The restaurant in the movie bears a striking resemblance to Benigan's, Chilis, TGIFridays, Appleby's, etc.

That's what I'm talkin' about. Although, I went there the other day and ordered a #2 w/ Dr. Pepper and they said "you want fries with that"
I said in ,a voice that made it clear this was a stupid question, "doesn't this come with fries" (duh) and she said "yeh" Then I thought about this thread and figured I would probably get an extra ingredient on my food.

What happened to the Hot Dog Man? The one in front of Govt. Plaza was awesome. Did he move?

I thought Sonic combos could come with fries, onion rings, or tots?

LateNight 11-16-2007 09:28 AM

out there north of town off hwy 1 around blanchard way.. about all we had to choose from was MickeyD and Dairy Queen.. and got tired of both a long time ago.. But there just about finished building a new Sonic out there. I suspect they are gonna rack up at first at least. Everyone being tired of the same ol' same ol' .

Been a long time since I ordered myself a Sonic Burger. They used to have a sonic there in south bossier across from Bellair Blvd. we'd walk up there, order a sonic burger.. then walk to the Pizza Hut and sit down and order a drink and eat. LOL We knew ALL the Pizza Hut girls back in the day, and they treated us well :)

Just one more thing Bossier was proactive on, The Hot Dog Man. Shreveport probably tried to make him pay a big fee, or maybe he couldn't keep up with the demands Cedric was going to put on him being right outside his office and all.

Okay another McD's complaint. The one on Hwy 80 and Industrial in Bossier. They are crooks, I have recipts to prove this. My daughter stopped the other day while going to school. She wanted an egg biscuit. They rang up a sauage and egg biscuit, minus the sauage then charged another $1.00 for the egg. So it cost her $3.10 for this sandwich. They told her they did not have a button on their register for just an egg biscuit. So she paid for a sauage she didn't get plus 40 cents for the egg , then a dollar more for the egg. I ask a manager at viking drive and he said that egg biscuit should not have been more than 2 dollars. Crooks, crooks, crooks!

Gotta be careful there too. I was at a Sack N Save (Minyards) opening in Dallas and saw an employee spill a bag of "bulk" trail mix, the kind that goes in the bin at those serve yourself tables, then sweep it up with a broom and dust pan and pour it directly into the serving bin.

Same goes for those "help yourself" cookies. I wonder how many snotty little hands have carried them to show momma only to be told " put it back!"

I am with you there howela !~ I do most of my cooking but every now and then Mrs. Isaac has to have her fix on being served but we pick best we can a nice place. I have worked around the restaurant business and those LA style fried food places are not very clean at all. The Casino restaurants are very clean. The Horseshoe being the best.
