The good news about entertainment in Shreveport-Bossier city is that a plethora of high quality entertainment is available in all artistic fields of endeavor. During the first 6 months of 2008, more money was spent on local movie production than during the entire year of 2007 and that is very important to local actors and business people who provide service to the movie industry. Even local musicians are finding more work these days. Tipitina's Music Office Co-Op in Shreveport has been instrumental in helping musicians, filmmakers, and other digital media professionals find jobs. Tipitina’s also provides a job skills program to assist people who need additional training.
